Notes

• Applesauce first came together when we started playing two of our songs back to back in a sort of Mini-Medley.
• Applesauce is composed of "State Champions" and "What U Got?"
• State Champions has a studio version that is different from the live "Applesauce" version.
• The word Applesauce has had several different interesting interpretations. Some favorites being:
  • Representative of smashing to songs together
  • A fun word to say
  • A reference to a computer program in a kid's radio program: "Adventures in Odessey"
• ANYBand played this song at the first real gig they ever had at the Smelly Cat.
• The "Oh, What You Got?" Chorus of State Champions is the vocals of Chris Flanigan, Jon Brown, and Sam Shea.
• What U Got was written to hopefully raise questions about what we actually have as humans. The band proposes that we don't have much, if not anything except for "You". We don't even have a 4th bar to end the song on...
• Originally both State Champions and What U Got? were primarily guitar driven, but now contain a lot of Violin as well.
